
Haiti was struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake on January 12. The earthquake has devastated the island, affecting more than 2 million people and destroying the capital city of Port Au Prince.
Haiti is the poorest nation in the western hemisphere with 80% of its populatin living below the poverty line.

February 1st, Christian radio station across the country will take the day to encourage support of Help Haiti with Compassion. Money raised from this effort will go to help those effected by the earthquakes in Haiti both immediately and long term afterward through Compassion International.
